The Foodie in You!

We all know that my blog is all over the place, having no set theme. And honestly I would have it no other way. Life is crazy, & I have a passion for so many things that I can’t just blog about one set thing. Now some people love that I have no set theme & other’s not so much. You can’t please everyone when blogging, so it’s best to stay true to yourself and talk about things that you truly love.

However, even the people who don’t like my hectic ways will eat this post up. Food!! Who doesn’t love Food?? You can learn so much about a persons culture when eating their food. It’s a great way to get to know someone, while at the same time trying something new & eating something truly incredible!

So this post is for the Foodie in you. If you haven’t been to Orlando or only think of Orlando as a place for children (being the home to many theme parks) then you have never been to Park Ave. in Winter Park. It’s a straight shot of shops and eateries that will suit everyone’s taste and style. Park Ave. has all the elegance and style of fine dining, but without the prices that would make you cry! So if you ever find yourself in Orlando, here is where you should go for a truly amazing time!

First stop is Cafe De France. Serving traditional French cuisine in a very European style setting. & this is no American take on French cuisine! Cafe de France opened it’s doors in the early 80’s and is owned and operated by French natives. The best part…the most expensive thing on the menu is $32.00 everything else ranges between $5.00- $20.00! (Note to future BF…TAKE ME HERE! If you would like to make me happy hehe.)

Best known for  its Wine dinners and seasonal menus. Cafe De France is located at 526 S.Park Ave. Winter Park,Fl 32789. For a better look at their menu visit their website Cafe De France. Bon Appetit!

Next Stop is Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt! Do you all love frozen yogurt as much as I do?? Sometimes I think no one will surpass the love I have for frozen yogurt. Being that this Tutti Frutti is located right in front of Rollins College (aka the college I am hoping to get accepted too) it is a favorite among all of the students. The Birthday frozen yogurt is pretty awesome, but I am in love with the Strawberry Cheesecake that they whip up.

You have to try out Trattoria Toscana! It’s a cozy little restaurant right next to Tutti Frutti. The bread is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I swear there is nothing like it. There might be some witchcraft involved when they make it, cause I’m crazy for it. Try sitting at the bar; which is right across from the stove top. You can have a few drinks before your meal while you watch them prepare the meals. I highly recommend the Antipasto, the Tiramisu, & the Appetizer Platter..oh and of course the BREAD.Located at 521 S Park Ave. Winter Park, FL 32789, you will love the simple rustic dishes that shine here; while you enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

Okay, Drum Roll Please…..This is Palmano’s Roastery and Espresso Bar. Here, the names of the sandwiches are tributes to Palmano’s regulars (so cute!) The menu here is simple. Sandwiches and salads dominate at lunch with a revolving soup of the day. If you ever have a chance to come by this place, you absolutely have to try the  No. 2, aka “Laura.” It’s a salty layering of prosciutto, sliced plum tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, olive oil and fresh basil. Scrunched in a Panini press, making it nice & crispy (Just the way I like it.) Located at  331 S. Park Ave., Winter Park, 32789, this is one place you won’t want to miss out on! Your taste buds will never forgive you.

If you were wondering where the delicious looking cakes featured in the main picture at the top of this post came from; it’s from this place. Bake me a Cake Cafe in Park Ave. It’s a spin-off of the Bake me a Cake shop in another location. This location of Bake me a cake cafe features delicious croissants, sandwiches, European pastries, gourmet cakes, fresh breads, and smoothies. But you must try the Peanut Butter Ball and the coffee. YUM!

And last, but certainly not least! BosphorusThis restaurant is a family owned business that offers variety of authentic Turkish food from many regions of Turkey.  Fun fact of the day:Bosphorus Turkish Cuisines name comes from one of the oldest cities in the world, Istanbul! The décor of this eatery is kept to a minimum to draw the attention to the food. The intent was to create a modernized, warm authentic atmosphere by taking the old elements of Ispanakli and adding new touches to create this serene yet elegant environment. And it WORKS! I recommend the Ispanakli Pide. Which is a Turkish style spinach Pide. & the sour dough bread is to die for!
Well I really hope you liked this post, for the Foodie in you. This was only a taste of what Park Ave. has to offer. Stay tuned for an update.
